Is a life of love a life of obedience?
A life of love may be all the christian life is about. People think they are so original when they make up sayings about how important love is. My Father and best friend thought of it first. In fact, He is LOVE! :] <3
Need Proof? Lets go to His word. This is what He has to say about it.
7Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son[b] into the world that we might live through him. 10This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for[c] our sins. 11Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
1 John 4:7-12
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
Matt 7:21-23
1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned,[a] but have not love, it profits me nothing.
4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.
1 Corinthians 13:1-9
28One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?"
29"The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' 31The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'There is no commandment greater than these."
Mark 12:28-31
We are meant to be a part of what He is doing. To be a part of advancing His kingdom on earth.
18Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
Matt 28: 18-20
Jesus called his twelve disciples together and gave them authority to cast out evil spirits and to heal every kind of disease and illness.

Trying not to forget 2
Never forget that you know God.
Never forget His intimacy.
Never EVER forget that you have heard His voice.
That you have felt His heart.
Do not be ashamed of Him, you are not sharing a propaganda.
It is not in terror that we serve and love Him.
It is in hope that we seek Him.
It is in His holy fulfillment;
that is what makes us love Him.
It fills our heart with love for Him.
He speaks, but He also wants to listen to us.
(never forget where He has brought you from. Never forget what He has taught you)

Puerto Rico
I am so sorry it has taken so long for me to send out this letter. I got back from Puerto Rico and had to jump right back into school and work. I am now on spring break and have found a bit of time to recollect on my trip and tell you all about why we went to Puerto Rico and what we did. We spent 8 days in Puerto Rico. The team was made up of 13 people. 10 of us were from Ill and 3 were from Tampa, Florida. We spent the first 4 days in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. We stayed in rustic Villa’s that were within a short walking distance from the beach. While in Mayaguez we worked with a Vineyard church there.
During the days we did servant evangelism at the local university. We simply handed out candy and a card with the church’s info on it. We handed out over 11,100 cards and had an opportunity to pray with a number of students.
After servant evangelism we usually got lunch then had some free time to swim or do whatever. One really cool story is that one day my friend Amber and I were walking along the beach just talking and she made a comment something like “Do you think God is wooing us right now?” And I asked her what she meant, she said “You know in the book captivating when they talk about how God is constantly wooing us, with sunsets, flowers, just beautiful things in general. You think maybe He is wooing us now with the coast and the water and the sky and everything?” And I said “yeah I think so.” Then Amber says” Maybe we will see a whale, or a starfish.” I replied “I don’t think we will see either of those here.” Then Amber replies” Well if we see either then we know God really loves us.”
I should have remembered that God likes to show of. Sure enough not 2 minutes later I found a starfish on the beach. It was the only one I found the whole time we were there. I guess God wanted to remind me that He does love me, and He is wooing me. :)
At night we went to the church and did Prophetic ministry. Prophetic ministry is simply prophesying. It is taking time to hear from God, and in this case we ask God to speak to us for a certain person. This was our main focus for the trip. Let me just explain what the prophetic ministry looks like.
What we did (this is the model that we used) was, we broke up into groups of 4 or 5 people. Keep in mind that the group still hardly knew each other; we were all from different churches and even states. Each group went into a different room or area and each person in the group as given a note pad and a pen. The pastors of the church would then send in people in want of ministry one at a time. We would then ask only there name and then explain what we were going to do. We then prayed and asked the Holy Spirit to come and speak to us for this person. Then any words or visions we got we wrote down and passed the note pad to the group’s leader/ lead chair. They would read it and simply pass it back. The lead chair read what we felt the Holy Spirit spoke to us, simply to make sure everything is appropriate to share. Sometimes people get words about past abuse or even sins like affairs, and those are to be brought up to the pastor for him to counsel the person on, it is not something for us to address, we wanted to only encourage the person. After that we would go one at a time and read to the person what we got. After we each shared then the person had time to comment on anything we got and we would then pray for them.
The cool thing about this is that, we would each write down what we got and not show each other, yet we would always have similar things that pieced together perfectly. Sometimes we had the exact same thing just in different wording or in pictures or such or times we had things that related closely to each others but were not quite the same but all the words always went together and made sense to the person. They weren’t things that you could know simply by looking at a person. These were words about their families, their personal relationships with God, their personal prayers, things of a unique personal meaning. The words were sometimes so simple yet touched the person’s heart, words about mended relationships, healing, release of stress, or the reality of how much God really loves them. The words were so different yet personal for every person.
We did this for two of the nights in Mayaguez, then on the 3 night our group held a conference in which we taught the church how to do prophetic ministry. We wanted the people to realize that God speaks to everyone; it is just up to the person to listen. Then the church had the option to pray for our team and give us words that God gave them for us. That was awesome.
We left Mayaguez the next day and headed to San Juan. In San Juan we also worked with another Vineyard church. The girls stayed at the house of the English speaking pastors and the men stayed with the Spanish speaking pastors. While we were there we also did a conference but this time we did it the first day. It was really good. We did a demonstration for the entire church right after so they could see how the model worked. It went so well.
The next day we had church in the morning, two pastors from our group preached, one in Spanish and one in English. Then we had lunch and went back to the church for a few hours of prophetic ministry. It was supposed to last about 4 hours or so. We ended up going for about 6 ½ hours straight with no real breaks. It was so incredible. God totally showed up and spoke. My team met with 13 people and as a group we met with 56 people total including couples, and every time God spoke and it was dead on. We saw a lot of people really get touched. It was beautiful. It not only touched the people who we were ministering to but it also touched us. There were a number of times we were fighting back tears. God totally gave us His heart for these people and we felt an unbelievable attachment to them. I wish I could fully express what it was like to be a part of what God is doing and to have a piece of His heart. It is so beautiful. God is not dead or distant. He does speak and I spent a week in full observation of that.
We formed such an attachment to the churches there that when it came time for us to leave we felt like we were leaving long time friends. The people were so humble and giving and just open. They didn’t have the crippling arrogance that some many of us in the states have. They allowed themselves to be completely broken before God.
The group had the next day off. The group leader surprised us with a trip out on a small boat cruise were we got to go snorkeling around some reefs. I don’t think a single one of us went to bed that night without sunburn though.
The next day was our last day and we had a few hours to roam around Old San Juan before catching or flights home. Leaving was a sad part of the trip. The group got so close during the week. It felt like we were saying goodbye to family at the airport. We all had to give each other very light hugs to avoid aggravating one another’s sunburn and hold back the tears.
The trip was a good time from start to finish. It was fun swimming in the ocean and searching for treasures on the beach, snorkeling and exploring Old San Juan, yet I would have to say that all of that meant almost nothing in comparison to being a part of what God is doing in San Juan and seeing the power of His love change these peoples lives. That is worth more than anything I have yet experienced.
Thank you so much for your support that helped to send me on the trip. You helped touched so many people’s lives.

beautiful pics from Puerto Rico
stories of work cuteness. Enjoy
Last night I was teaching my Advanced beginner class. I love this class.
We were on beam (an irrelevant fact.)
And this one girl named Katie out of no where was like " Do you know the song that is like..Im a tea pot.. here is my handle... uh"
Me- "Yeah know that song."
Katie- "I made a new version of it. " She started singing "I'm a little hobo short and wide."
Haha
Then today I was teaching my day care class (3-5 year olds)
I had this one really hyper girl pick up some things for me on the floor just to keep her busy while the rest o the class was getting a drink.
She handed me what I asked her for and so I said "Gracias" to her.
And she responded "De nada."
I let out a shriek laugh of delight. It was the cutest thing ever.
This girl is a blond hair, pale skinned little girl. I did not expect her to know any Spanish. Cutest thing
Those are my only stories.

thought this was interesting
German View of Islam
This is by far the best explanation of the Muslim terrorist situation I have ever read. His references to past history are accurate and clear. Not long, easy to understand, and well worth the read. The author of this email is said to be Dr. Emanuel Tanay, a well-known and well-respected psychiatrist.
A German's View on Islam
A man, whose family was German aristocracy prior to World War II, owned a number of large industries and estates. When asked how many German people were true Nazis, the answer he gave can guide our attitude toward fanaticism. 'Very few people were true Nazis,' he said, 'but many enjoyed the return of German pride, and many more were too busy to care. I was one of those who just thought the Nazis were a bunch of fools. So, the majority just sat back and let it all happen. Then, before we knew it, they owned us, and we had lost control, and the end of the world had come. My family lost everything. I ended up in a concentration camp and the Allies destroyed my factories.'
We are told again and again by 'experts' and 'talking heads' that Islam is the religion of peace and that the vast majority of Muslims just want to live in peace. Although this unqualified assertion may be true, it is entirely irrelevant. It is meaningless fluff, meant to make us feel better, and meant to somehow diminish the spectre of fanatics rampaging across the globe in the name of Islam.
The fact is that the fanatics rule Islam at this moment in history. It is the fanatics who march. It is the fanatics who wage any one of 50 shooting wars worldwide. It is the fanatics who systematically slaughter Christian or tribal groups throughout Africa and are gradually taking over the entire continent in an Islamic wave. It is the fanatics who bomb, behead, murder, or honour-kill. It is the fanatics who take over mosque after mosque. It is the fanatics who zealously spread the stoning and hanging of rape victims and homosexuals. It is the fanatics who teach their young to kill and to become suicide bombers.
The hard, quantifiable fact is that the peaceful majority, the 'silent majority,' is cowed and extraneous.
Communist Russia was comprised of Russians who just wanted to live in peace, yet the Russian Communists were responsible for the murder of about 20 million people. The peaceful majority were irrelevant. China 's huge population was peaceful as well, but Chinese Communists managed to kill a staggering 70 million people.
The average Japanese individual prior to World War II was not a warmongering sadist. Yet, Japan murdered and slaughtered its way across South East Asia in an orgy of killing that included the systematic murder of 12 million Chinese civilians; most killed by sword, shovel, and bayonet.
And who can forget Rwanda , which collapsed into butchery. Could it not be said that the majority of Rwandans were 'peace loving'?
History lessons are often incredibly simple and blunt, yet for all our powers of reason, we often miss the most basic and uncomplicated of points:
Peace-loving Muslims have been made irrelevant by their silence.
Peace-loving Muslims will become our enemy if they don't speak up, because like my friend from Germany , they will awaken one day and find that the fanatics own them, and the end of their world will have begun.
Peace-loving Germans, Japanese, Chinese, Russians, Rwandans, Serbs, Afghans, Iraqis, Palestinians, Somalis, Nigerians, Algerians, and many others have died because the peaceful majority did not speak up until it was too late. As for us who watch it all unfold, we must pay attention to the only group that counts--the fanatics who threaten our way of life.
