Friday afternoon I was with Elen driving to Art in The Park and I was telling her about how I needed to find work, and that I had filled out so many applications. (I filled out two just in the time I was with her)
I now can fill out an app in about 10 minutes, because I have all the numbers and information memorized. What is my old bosses number you may ask? Well I can tell you. What is the YMCA's address? oh that one is easy!! Challenge me!!!!!!!!! Sorry I am getting carried away!
Any ways... So I told Elen about all the apps I filled out, and she said "What I told my son when he was looking for a job is that you have to fill out 100 applications to get 10 interviews to get 1 job."
I don't like the idea of filling out 100 apps. So a night or two ago I wrote out all the places I had filled out apps for and I could remember 10 (though it's likely I filled out more).
Then today I was showering and well talking to God about how I need favor for a job, and that as long as He gives me one, I am cool with waiting on His timing. (A team girl at the Y made fun of me for singing in the shower, so I'm doing that less) While all this was going on in the shower (sounds scandalous!)I got a call from Dick's Sporting Goods, asking me about when I could do an interview!! I now have an interview wed at 1.
Ummmm HUZZAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So Please be praying for me, that God grant me favor, and this job.
So there you have it... stalk worthy info for those that read my blog.

I'll have to come back to this...
A friend of mine is doing this thing this year where she is trying 18 new things.
I didn't intend to do this, but I was thinking about what my list would look like this year if I were putting together a list of new things i have done this year. Instead of starting it at my birthday I am going to look back to the beginning of 2010.
1. Went on a missions trip.
2.learned a new instrument (violin)
3.tried Thai food and Puerto Rican food for the first time
4. Moved across country by myself
5.gave a prophetic word to a total un expecting stranger
6.prayed for someone on the verge of dying and saw them recover.
7.drove a scooter
8.Had my legs waxed
9.Hand rolled a cigarette (not for myself mind you)

the problem with being a dreamer..
The problem with being a dreamer is that at points in your life you can't tell if you are dreaming or not. When you don't know if you are dreaming or awake you have no idea how much effort you should really put into something. I can't believe where i am right now. I am sitting on a couch in a living room of a person that I have known for only a little over a week. I walk outside and see mountains. I have a scooter parked in the garage, and I am reading text books on being an EMT. WHAT!!???!?!?!
Can't even believe this.
But not all dreams are good. There is bad in the good.
I was out at starbucks this morning and then went to Hobby Lobby when Brenda called me asking if I was home. Her mom pushed her EMS button so the ambulance was on its way to the house. I ruched home to find the ambulance and a fire engine here. THey were all in the garage and Jean (brenda's mom) was on the floor of the garage. Poor woman!
They took her away to the ER for x-rays. She fractured and dis-placed her hip. I feel bad that I wasn't here. Not that I could have done anything but still.
Reminded me that I can't wait to be an EMT.

Hooray for life!
First Mission medics meeting tonight. Success! Bring it on life!
Text books are now here for EMT Basic. Have to read the first 4 chapters by monday night.
104 pages in 3 days....Totally do-able. Maybe it is good that I don't have a job just yet so that I can get settled in to my school schedule. I only have class 2 nights a week though (Monday and Tues). Looks like I will be helping out with the Mission Medics OEC track on Thursday nights. This means I will prob have my class mates practice splinting my limbs and strapping me to backboards and the such. Hopefully they won't be practicing IVs on me.
Tomorrow I am going out with Elen. May have a possible coaching job. God is really looking out for me. :]

Having a good hair day so far.

I can't seem to get enough sleep these days, I think I know why though, but that doesnt matter.
I'm enjoying some English Breakfast Tea and watching youtube videos of the Weepies. Ok so lame story, the Weepies are playing a show here in Boise later next month and I went to buy tickets only to find out that the show is at a 21 over venue. LAMEFEST!!!!
Check out this cute video though. Super cute!

What a long day
Forgive the sloppy order of my pics. Im just feeling too lazy to care.
ok so I finally have time to update all my blogstalkers ion what is going on.
I have spent the last few weeks packing my room up, it all had to be packed. I got up at 3 am today and was at the airport with my parents and Jess by 4:30. our flight left at 6 and we were in Boise at 10:11 (11:11 Illinois time).
I got a text from someone named Elen telling me that she was picking us up. I found her thanks to the giant sign she was holding with my name on it! I have always hoped and dreamed for my own giant name sign. Hahaha
We got my 5 bags of luggage (all of them surprisingly wieghed less than 50 lb) then we headed out to get food. I rode with Elen and my parents and Jess took the rental car to the Hotel to check in.
It has been a really busy day. We then unloaded our luggage and headed off to Cobby's to get subs. Driving through downtown Boise I was getting so excited, I LOVED it right away!!!
We then went to Elen's house to look up directions to Guardian College and Brenda's house A.K.A. My new home! :]
then my parents and Jess and I headed to Brenda's. I love love love love my new home. They have 2 cute little pups and my room is perfect and the house is perfect and life is perfect.
My scooter was there in the garage. We are assembling it tomorrow. I mostly needed to stop by Brenda's to pick up my proof of health insurance that had been mailed there. Then We were off to get a checking account and drop off my applications for Guardian college. It was great to have all my paperwork filled out and handed in finally. The college shares a parking lot with a Sonic and we found ourselves there right in the middle of Happy Hour!
We were so tired by this point. We went back to the hotel and slept for a while before heading back downtown to meet with Elen and her husband and Pete for "First Thursday".
Now let me explain first thursday to you. imagine you are in Wheaton, but the downtown is like 4 times larger and in the distance you can see the mountains cradling you in. You go into the downtown which is super clean and nicely kept, then imagine you are walking down the streets and live music is flooding into your ears. All sorts of music, a blue grass trio, a Lady singing jazz, a guy with an amazing voice singing and playing a guitar outside of a pub, a man playing the saxophone along with an acoustic guitarist accompanying him, a . Music everywhere. Then as you walk you are surrounded with people riding cute bicycles and scooters, all dressed in laid back "Anthropology" apparel. There are art galleries open all over, a coffee shop/cafe on every corner sometimes even 2 on a block and people just sitting out enjoying life. I really can't even do this place justice. But I feel I should warn you in all fairness that I may not want to come back.
We then went back to the hotel and swam a bit. Its def bad time now. I am so excited to sleep in tomorrow.
I am truly ecstatic. I will take pics of my new home and pups tomorrow and maybe some of my scooter being assembled. :]
I am just feeling uber blessed and don't even know how I could be more blessed.
