The pastel piece I did for my Brother and Sister in law.
It is a sunset in Allihies, Ireland.
My sisters violin pieces are almost done. I matted the sketch last night and am nearing the end of the ink one. :]
Exhausted, not feeling good and really not liking fall. Good news i that I am making great progress on my schooling. I can't wait to be done.
Work should be good. I've got a good idea on how im going to handle my intermediates.

I have dislexemia O_o

Currently listening to a great song that makes me slightly sad.

I'm not sure if anyone truly cares what my weekend even consisted of but in case you care here's the jist of it:
Friday: Went to the Plowing Match with my momma and Lilly and Josiah. We went to listen to a local band that plays stuff from like the 60's and 70's and the such. Lilly and Josiah were so cute. They were dancing around and being adorable.

Saturday: Work in the morning. I had a private lesson which was without a doubt the easiest 15 dollars I have ever made. Then I had two or 3 other classes.
I got home in time to watch the first of the Notre Dame game before I left to go to Elburn. In Elburn I picked up Amber and we headed to Wheaton College. Once we got to the Football/ soccer field, Amber's dad wasted no time rushing me to a table covered with food. :]
After eating a free meal we caught the football game.
Josh met us there and hung out with us. We went and got Coffee at half time and made it back in the 4th. Wheaton dominated. I think the score was 50 something to 3. Ha!
After the game Amber and I drove into downtown, parked the car, and simply walked around taking in the many sounds. We passes by so many restaurants that had some sort of live music. Amber and I love it so much that we decided we want to live there for a summer. Amber came over after and we watched a movie on my laptop then started another movie. We about fell asleep on the couch so we went up to bed, an hour or so later we finished talking and actually went to sleep.

Sunday: Church. I had kids church. The person I was supposed to teach with never showed up, I also had no lesson to start with, but some great people helped me out with that. Kids church went pretty well. I was talking with the kids about how we can worship God throughout the week. We all came up with one way that we could worship God in a practical way throughout the week. Mine was to not get mad at other people while I'm driving. I barely made it out of the parking lot before I started yelling at the car in front of me, but I checked myself and I am working on it.
Amber and I went to the Plowing Match after to look around. We got snow cones that were super good. Other than that nothing amazing happened there. (except we got these really neat wood rings for a dollar a piece.)
Amber came over after and we drank tea and hot cocoa and watch youtube videos. Then my mom got home after picking up my grandma. (she lives in Cali)
Then Amber left and we all just hung out.

Today:
Another day and yet another skill to add to my wife resume. :P
Today my grandma taught me how to crochet.
SO now I can crochet along with many other things.

Today I gave my brother and sister in law a pastel piece I made for them. This was the product of my second time ever using pastels. It is a sunset in Allihies Ireland. :]

I thought I had a picture of it on my laptop but I couldn't find it.
You can be sure it was very pretty though.

Worked tonight. Classes were pretty good. I taught some pretty cute kids.
I didn't get to workout after. My family was in a rush to go to Dollar Burger night. Dollar burger night was naturally a beautiful thing. It is even better these days because of Monday night football.
Dollar burgers + a football game = bliss.

Tomorrow I am going to Hobby Lobby to get more board and such to do more pastel pieces.
I'm pretty excited about it. :]

an apple a day...

I got this email just today and thought it was worth posting.
I'm thinking a fruit diet sounds like a good idea. :]

We all think eating fruits means just buying fruits, cutting it and just popping it into our mouths. It's not as easy as you think. It's important to know how and when to eat.
What is the correct way of eating fruits?

IT MEANS NOT EATING FRUITS AFTER YOUR MEALS! FRUITS SHOULD BE EATEN ON AN EMPTY STOMACH.

If you eat fruit like that, it will play a major role to detoxify your system, supplying you with a great deal of energy for weight loss and other life activities.

FRUIT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FOOD.Let's say you eat two slices of bread and then a slice of fruit.. The slice of fruit is ready to go straight through the stomach into the intestines, but it is prevented from doing so.

In the meantime the whole meal rots and ferments and turns to acid. The minute the fruit comes into contact with the food in the stomach and digestive juices, the entire mass of food begins to spoil....

So please eat your fruits on an empty stomach or before your meals! You have heard people complaining - every time I eat watermelon I burp, when I eat durian my stomach bloats up, when I eat a banana I feel like running to the toilet etc - actually all this will not arise if you eat the fruit on an empty stomach. The fruit mixes with the putrefying other food and produces gas and hence you will bloat!

No wonder my BODY IS SO VOCAL

Graying hair, balding, nervous outburst, and dark circles under the eyes all these will NOT happen if you take fruits on an empty stomach.

There is no such thing as some fruits, like orange and lemon are acidic, because all fruits become alkaline in our body, according to Dr. Herbert Shelton who did research on this matter. If you have mastered the correct way of eating fruits, you have the Secret of beauty, longevity, health, energy, happiness and normal weight.

When you need to drink fruit juice - drink only fresh fruit juice, NOT from the cans. Don't even drink juice that has been heated up. Don't eat cooked fruits because you don't get the nutrients at all. You only get to taste. Cooking destroys all the vitamins.

But eating a whole fruit is better than drinking the juice. If you should drink the juice, drink it mouthful by mouthful slowly, because you must let it mix with your saliva before swallowing it. You can go on a 3-day fruit fast to cleanse your body. Just eat fruits and drink fruit juice throughout the 3 days and you will be surprised when your friends tell you how radiant you look!

KIWI: Tiny but mighty. This is a good source of potassium, magnesium, vitamin E & fiber. Its vitamin C content is twice that of an orange.
APPLE: An apple a day keeps the doctor away? Although an apple has a low vitamin C content, it has antioxidants & flavonoids which enhances the activity of vitamin C thereby helping to lower the risks of colon cancer, heart attack & stroke..
STRAWBERRY: Protective Fruit. Strawberries have the highest total antioxidant power among major fruits & protect the body from cancer-causing, blood vessel-clogging free radicals.
ORANGE: Sweetest medicine. Taking 2-4 oranges a day may help keep colds away, lower cholesterol, prevent & dissolve kidney stones as well as lessens the risk of colon cancer.
WATERMELON: Coolest thirst quencher.. Composed of 92% water, it is also packed with a giant dose of glutathione, which helps boost our immune system. They are also a key source of lycopene - the cancer fighting oxidant. Other nutrients found in watermelon are vitamin C & Potassium.
GUAVA & PAPAYA: Top awards for vitamin C. They are the clear winners for their high vitamin C content. Guava is also rich in fiber, which helps prevent constipation. Papaya is rich in carotene; this is good for your eyes.

Drinking Cold water after a meal = Cancer! Can you believe this?? For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you. It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.

A serious note about heart attacks HEART ATTACK PROCEDURE': (THIS IS NOT A JOKE!) Women should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting. Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line.. You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack . Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms.. Sixty percent of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up. Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know the better chance we could survive...

A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this mail sends it to 10 people, you can be sure that we'll save at least one life.

Currently watching: Never Been Kissed

Tonight was one of the most frustrating nights I have ever had.
I started with a class with only one girl in it. The class was as good as can be expected considering there was only one girl in it.
I was looking forward to my up coming intermediate class. It turned out to be one of the worst classes I have ever taught. The girls wouldn't stretch at all. It took us 20 minutes to do a terrible job of stretching. I tried to explain to the girls that if you don't stretch well then you can get hurt, yet they still didn't care.
During class the girls wouldn't listen at all and just did pretty much whatever they wanted.
Without fail they all started complaining right away of something hurting. I wanted to scream at them.
I can't stand that they don't listen to me or respect me.
Im so glad Im home now. I'm not really sure what I'm going to do next week.
I think I am going to talk to my boss about it and see what she has to say.

Ecclesiastes 7:21

I read these verses in my devos last night and they really stood out to me.

"Also do not take to heart everything

people say,
Lest you hear your servant cursing
you.
For many times, also, your own heart
has known
That even you have cursed others."
Currently Watching: Monk

Did you see the last of the Buffalo Bills and New England game???
What an exciting last few minutes. I was at dollar burger night watching it with my family. How great!! The last play was just amazing!

I came home excited to watch the last half of Saturdays Notre Dame game against Michigan. With about 5 minutes left in the game my DVR stopped. Apparently it didn't record the last few minutes of the game. I had to find out that Notre Dame lost via the internet. >:[

My visit to Chicago over the weekend was great. I went to see Chloe. We went to Celtic Fest for a few hours. It was great. I learned some Irish dancing. And heard some great music.
It was a good time.

Sunday Ania and I went to the Fair to pick up our art work. We took lilly with us and it was adorable. She is such a cutie! I adore her.

Currently listening to: The Call by Regina Spektor

Yesterday six flags was fun. We only got lost once driving there due to poorly marked signs. Once we were there it was smooth sailing. The longest we had to wait for any line was maybe 15 minutes.....probably not even that long. Most of the time it took longer to walk to the ride then it did to get on the ride. We ran into Haylee (figuratively not literally) at some point in the day and she was riding rides alone so we all tagged along the rest of the day. I saw 7 or so people I knew there. Which was crazy considering it was Six Flags. The park closed at 5 and in order to avoid rush hour traffic we drove down the road to Gurnee Mills shopping mall and stayed there till after 7. Driving home was a breeze! That was my day in a nut shell.

I just got home alittle while ago from the fair.
I met Ania there at about 1:30 or so. My mom came with me but she left after seeing my artwork.
I did finally see my black and white piece. I think maybe they had trouble finding a way to hang it. It is not light to be certain. It got a 3rd place ribbon, so I am happy. I got ribbons on all but one of the things I entered. Hooray!

I walked around with Ania for a while which was good. I was so tired though (Still am very tired) so I wasn't in the best of moods. I wanted to kick people when they went to slow or stopped in the middle of the paths to simply talk.

The Sheepie barn lifted my spirits drastically. :]

Ryan and Aaron met up with us there after 4. We walked around with them a while and looking back on it we managed to eat most of the time.
I got a snow cone and it was one of the most delicious things ever. (I got one on the way out too =] )

I don't really have anything amazing to say. I did see quite a few people that I knew which was cool, I saw even more people that I recognized from coaching them or just seeing them around the gym. It was a good time.
My feet killed though after a while. I ended up going barefoot more a majority of the time because I couldn't handle wearing shoes. It hurt like no-ones business.

Tomorrow I work in the morning and after that I am catching a train to Chi-town to visit Chloe for the weekend and hit up Celtic fest. I am more than excited. I can just imagine how much my feet are going to hurt though.

Current backround music:The over grown walts ,by Bela Fleck (bluegrass)

I had to work tonight. It was a good shift all in all. I got over the awkward-ness of viewing week tolerably well.
My classes seem to be full of girls that listen well.

After work I worked out for about an hour or so and got done with all of that pretty early so I headed to the Fair.
I didn't even make it into the grounds without some retarded teenage guy trying to get my attention.
I went just to look at how my stuff did.
I am pretty pleased with the results.

Blarney Grounds
This didn't place. I didn't really think it would though.

Castle towers
This placed 3rd

Violin
This placed 2nd
(the sketch is not totally finished in this sketch. In fact it still has alot of needed work but you get the idea. once I get it back from the fair I will put a better photo up...maybe)

Black and White
I actually coulnd't find this one. Im quite upset about that because it is big so it shouldn't be hard to find not to mention it is framed.
I hope I find it on Friday when I am there.

I also entered a picture of Honey and it got 3rd. I can't find the picture on my computer though. It is a really cute one.

That is all I have to say.
SIX FLAGS TOMORROW!!!
As of now: 1:16 pm, I am not sore nearly at all. I am really looking forward to work and working out tonight.

The fair started today and I'm anxious to make it there and see how my stuff did, but it will have to wait until Friday because tomorrow is all about Six Flags with a dear, beautiful friend. :]

They sit at the bar and put bread in my jar.......

currently listening to: Piano Man by Billy Joel. What a great song.

I'm not really sure how well I will be able to move tomorrow.
Tonight was the first night of a new session at work. My first class was easy enough aside from the fact that it was a semi-large class of 4 year olds. Two of these girls are named Jacky which causes some trouble considering one of them is really crazy and never listens to me and the other is really shy and a good listener. I will have to figure out some nick names or something.
My second class was an intermediate class. I love these classes typically but this one is going to be interesting. Two of the girls are tall girls. They go to my shoulders I think. All these girls are very new to intermediates. It was so hard getting them to focus. I also had to spot them double time because they aren't very close to having any skills. Then after my shift was over I went and worked out for an hour or so. I'm not sure at this point how sore I will be tomorrow. I don't think I will be too sore but who knows. I was alittle sore today and all I did yesterday was play football with some neighbor kids. Let's hope Im not too sore because tomorrow I work again and I plan to work out yet again after. I'm hoping for the best.

::RANDOM TANGENT::
I should really sleep but I don't really want to. Lately I have not been sleeping well, and I've been having weird and depressing dreams. I'm just sad to look back at how this last year has gone. About this time last year I thought things were going to be so different and it's sad to see how different and frustrating it really has turned out. I'm trying to get over it though and I have noticed myself getting back to my normal self. I just wish I hadn't had the hard times and things had turned out differently.

I survived WabenoStock '09

Im over-loaded with music and pictures to sort. I love the ability to get music so easily and to take a billion pictures whenever you want with digital cameras, but it can be a very daunting task to sort through everything in a timely manner. As I type this I am waiting for files to finish transferring.

I got back home last night. I was in Stevens Point visiting my sister from Sunday through Friday. I went disk golfing for the first time. I also gotten taken out to lunch by my sisters friend Matt. I still have mixed feelings about that. We went to Applebees and shared hot wings twice and went for a run at one point. All-in-all it was a good time. =]
Friday my parents picked me up at my sisters place and drove me another 2 or so hours north to where my mom's side of the family lives. We went for a giant pig roast/party that my Uncles and Aunts host. It is huge. They have a beer coffin and a feast of a pot luck. 50/50 and t-shirt raffles, trap shooting, horseshoes, corn hole (bean bags).

My family is so crazy. One thing is certain, we know how to enjoy lifes simple pleasures. We love laughing and joking and music. On the way home I told my parents that I love my family so much. It makes me glad I don't have a boyfriend because then I would have to share my family with them and I don't want to.
hahaha!
